SUMMARY:Who Put You in Charge of My TBR? Book Bans in Our Community
DESCRIPTION:In 2022 the American Library Association tracked the highest
number of attempted book bans since the organization began compiling
censorship data 20 years ago. \n\nThe majority of book challenges target
books written by and about marginalized communities. These challenges are
resulting in legislations and other barriers that prevent people from
reading these books. Join NSU librarians and faculty\, in partnership with
the office of Student Life and Campus Engagement (SLCE)\, for an engaging
discussion about banned books\, censorship\, and how we can respond to
censorship challenges as active citizens. \n\n \n\nClick on Begin
Registration below to register for in-person attendance.\n\nFree and open
 to the public. Registration recommended.
