Cine Argentino Film Festival: El Encuentro de Guayaquil (In-Person) In-Person
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the NSU Alvin Sherman Library will host a free art exhibit and film series. The exhibit entitled “Cine Y Arte: Argentino Latino” is a three part exhibit featuring:
- Tribute to Fernando Szyszlo, Peruvian artist, courtsey of the Coral Gables Americas Collection Gallery
- Women in Latin American Art: Rosario Chamorro, Nicaragua; Olga Duenas, Ecuador; Laura Villarreal, Mexico; Connie Lloveras, Cuba; Carolina Cerverizzo, Argentina
- 20th Anniversary of Cine Y Arte Argentino Latino
The exhibit is curated by Adriana Bianco and will be on display from Sunday, September 4 through Sunday, October 16, 2022 in the NSU Alvin Sherman Library, Second Floor, Cotilla Gallery.
The “Cine Argentino Film Festival” includes four film screenings taking place at 2 p.m. on Sundays in September. Films will be shown in the Performance Theatre of the Don Taft University Center on NSU’s main campus, at 3301 College Ave. Argentine actress and journalist Adriana Bianco will introduce the films and provide commentary.
