Lawn to Wildflowers (online event) Online

Tired of mowing the lawn? Learn the easy maintenance, low cost of converting your lawn to a wildflower habitat. This presentation will cover the ecological impact of lawns in the U.S., the importance of converting lawns to native wildflower meadows, and how you can get started.

Presenting the information is Dr. Nash Turley, co-founder of Lawn to Wildflowers and a postdoctoral fellow at the UCF Biology Department. Lawn to Wildflowers is a community science project focused on converting lawns to pollinator-friendly wildflower habitat and engaging the public in collecting data on planet pollinators. Dr. Turley and other UCF researchers developed a mobile app that educates users on pollinator natural history, lawn restoration techniques and more.
