About the Event
Taiwanese train songs, Tibetan jump rope rhymes, northern Japanese sea shanties -- Elena Moon Park’s music brings the world of East Asian music to your living room. Her debut all-ages album, Rabbit Days and Dumplings, features reimagined folk and children's music from East Asia, including Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan and Tibet. Her album received a Parent’s Choice Award and was featured on NPR’s All Things Considered. In 2020 she released the acclaimed album Unhurried Journey, a fresh and dynamic collection of reimagined east and southeast asian music and original, western-style songs that encourages listeners of all-ages to slow down and appreciate each moment, finding the joy in the journey. Elena is a musician, educator and producer who has performed at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, and with renowned children’s musician Dan Zanes and Sonia De Los Santos.
