About the Event

Celebrate National Poetry Month with a hands-on blackout poetry event. This adult workshop introduces blackout poetry, a form of found poetry where you highlight select words on a page and "black out" the rest to create new meaning. Whether you're an experience poet or simply curious, this event offers a relaxing, creative space to experiment. All materials provided.

It is $1 per hour to park. It is best to park in the NSU Alvin Sherman Library parking garage. Directions can be found here: Click here

Thank you for your interest in the Blackout Poetry program. Unfortunately, the event has been cancelled.  We'd still love to see you at our upcoming Lyrical Expressions Open Mic Night on April 9th, a fun and welcoming space to share poetry, lyrics, or spoken word creations.
