About the Event
Oral history is more than just clicking an app on your phone and asking someone to reminiscence. In this brief presentation, Linda Barnickel will give a short introduction to planning, creating, recording, preserving, finding and using oral histories in your genealogical work. From how to ask questions, to best interviewing techniques, from legal matters to learning how to use oral histories created by others, this overview will get you ready to learn more about the many facets of oral history.
