About the Event

The Holocaust shows how quickly a democratic, well-educated, technologically advanced, first-world society can make a 180-degree shift to become a barbaric, totalitarian regime engaging in mass murder on an industrial scale.  How did this happen so quickly? How did the rest of the world enable this transformation to take place? We mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz with this sad story of the failure of religious morality, ethics, civil society, education, and the rule of law.
