About the Event

The need for this program is urgent. The Elder Fraud Report of 2022 revealed an alarming 84% increase in monetary losses due to cybercrime among seniors, totaling $3.1 billion. This program will use insights from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) to develop its curriculum, focusing on prevalent threats such as phishing and tech support scams. By providing seniors with the knowledge and tools to protect themselves online, "Cybersecurity for Seniors" aims to significantly reduce these numbers and enhance the overall security of the local digital ecosystem.
