About the Event

Samara Quintero is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Hypnotherapist. She has a mental health private practice in Florida in which she specializes working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues.

She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice, and later relocated to Fort Lauderdale in order to continue pursuing her education at Nova Southeastern University. She was awarded her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and is a licensed therapist in the state of Florida, MT 3265. While working in different clinical settings, she developed a special interest in trauma treatment. This interest led Samara to attain additional trainings and certifications to better serve my clients. In addition to her degree, she has earned certifications with the International Association of Trauma Professionals (IATP), trained in Trauma Incident Reduction Therapy, and attained her Certification as a Heart Centered Hypnotherapist with the Wellness Institute in Issaquah, Washington.

Samara’s approach is unique in which she infuses traditional talk therapy with somatic work such as mindfulness, sound healing, guided visualizations and experiential techniques to strengthen the mind/body connection.

In addition to her licensure in Marriage and Family Therapy, she completed a 2 year advanced Clinical Hypnotherapy program with the Wellness Institute, obtaining mastery in utilizing hypnotherapy to address a variety of different mental health issues.

Committed to her own personal healing, Samara has in the last several years delved into deeply transformative work with plant medicines, just recently completing a 2 week Dieta retreat in Pucallpa, Peru. In conjunction with her private practice, she also holds space as a psychedelic integration guide for psychedelic research at Segal Trials.
