Building Scenes the Cinematic Way with Christopher Hawke (Online)

Building Scenes the Cinematic Way with Christopher Hawke (Online)

Learn how to utilize the theater of the mind in your writing. Use cinematic techniques to strengthen your scenes. Discover the advantages and disadvantages of the written word versus film. We will explore the use of camera angles, set design, and (that sometimes elusive) action in our writing. Attendees are welcome to send the first 1-3 pages of their story to be anonymously and gently critiqued during the workshop (if there’s time). Please send your work directly in the body of the email to Service@CommunityAuthors.com.

Christopher Hawke has helped thousands of writers from all over the world hone their craft and get noticed. His domestic and international workshops have been featured in numerous publications, including the Sun Sentinel in South Florida, where he has led weekly critique groups for over a decade. Besides co-running CommunityAuthors.com, an author services company, he works one-on-one with a select group of writers from various countries as a writing coach. His client roster includes well-known names, in addition to aspiring authors. Mr. Hawke’s writing is represented by The Evan Marshall Agency, and his book The Craft of Writing hit #1 and maintained a Top 10 status on Amazon for years. His other titles include the highly acclaimed psychological thrillers The Chamber and Unnatural Truth, as well as the redemptive dystopian novel Altered Selves.

This workshop is on Zoom and registration is required. Please click here to register.

The video is available for on-demand viewing April 16 – September 5.
