AAF CreativeZen Presents Brian Poli-Dixon

AAF CreativeZen Presents Brian Poli-Dixon In-Person

Please join us for this month's Creative Zen session featuring Brian Poli-Dixon. Brian is as artist, athlete and serial entrepreneur. Much like renowned artist and former NFL player Ernie Barnes, Brian has been able to translate his discipline as a former College Football (UCLA) & NFL player to his passion for creating art. Growing up with an African-American father and an Italian-American mother in the United States during the 1980s and 1990s, Brian knows first-hand the nuances of how words, color, and emotion impact one’s perception of self, community, and the world. His family’s heritage is rooted in oral tradition, resilience, and creativity, and he desires for his art to tell stories and to spark conversations much like the songs of Griots in West Africa.

His works have been shown at countless exhibitions around the globe, and Brian currently calls South Florida and Toronto home. His studios are located in both South Florida and Toronto. The Brian Poli-Dixon Art Gallery is located in South Florida as well.

“The paint brush is the physical vehicle that allows the viewer to have a visual look into my subconscious through the manifestation of my work. The world has its paint on me and people like me; I want the world to have my paint on it. My work is the juxtaposition between how I see the world and how the world sees me. I am a mirror—the reflection of everything I consume and everything that inspires me.”

Creative Zen was developed by the local chapter of the American Advertising Federation & Choose954 as a way to engage and connect the local creative community. Please join us for a thought-provoking presentation highlighting local motivational stories designed to connect, engage, and inspire all people.  Every Creative Zen event includes a complimentary guided meditation before a short inspiring and thought provoking talk during the second Friday morning of the month. All Creative Zen events are free of charge and open to the community, being creative is not required!

Parking in the garage is complimentary! Click here to register your vehicle. Light refreshments will be served!
